ABOUT

Welcome to the Orthotics Clinic Limerick, a specialist orthotics and biomechanics clinic providing clinically led assessment and personalised orthotic care for people with foot and lower-limb pain. The clinic specialises in custom orthotics, detailed gait analysis, and lower-limb biomechanics, supporting adults and children of all activity levels to return to efficient pain free movement.

Whether you are managing persistent foot, ankle, knee, or lower-limb pain, recovering from injury, or seeking clarity around ongoing symptoms, care is tailored to your individual presentation. Every assessment is thorough, evidence-based, and focused on identifying the underlying biomechanical causes of pain rather than simply treating symptoms.

Paediatric Gait Assessment & Walking Development

Many children referred for assessment already have a neurological diagnosis, such as cerebral palsy. Biomechanical gait assessment focuses on analysing walking patterns and lower-limb alignment to determine whether orthotic devices, such as ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs) or cusom moulded foot orthotics, may help support more efficient and stable walking.

In-Toeing and Out-Toeing

Some children walk with their feet turned inward or outward. These patterns are often related to growth and development and may improve over time, but assessment can provide reassurance or guidance when needed.

Pediatric Flat Feet

Flat feet are common in children and often resolve naturally. In some cases, flat feet can contribute to fatigue, pain, or altered walking patterns.
